So Says the Wind

A Single Movement work for String Orchestra

Duration: 12’

Written as a stand-alone work or to be paired with its counterpart to the Manchester Miniature with which it can be played either before or after. The permutation of the two works yields very different emotional responses to the individual pieces. Lasser writes: “The exploration of changes in emotional response due to variations in temporal order of musical events has long been a passion of mine.”

Commissioned by: Manchester Festival, 30th Anniversary Season in 2004
